Ben Twist directs, with the Prime Productions team, Jo Clifford’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, one of the best known novels in the English language - the story of Pip, from orphan to gentleman, poor labourer to successful trader. A man of good heart and true loyalty who has good fortune but is unlucky in love.
Audience - general, young people to older adult, audience. Suitable for schools audience but not intended to play exclusively in schools. Teacher support material will be prepared and available prior to tour.
Staging - inventive,clean and uncluttered, suitable for small to mid size stages (min 6m x 6m). Simple, effective lighting with specially composed live and recorded music. Lighting and sound equipment can be toured.
